MTV's New Show "Hired"

Have you ever wondered what it takes to land your dream job?

In today’s cutthroat economy it’s hard to break into the job market but MTV has made it a little easier with the launch of their new show “Hired.”

MTV’s mission has been to represent all aspects of young adults but they are best known for their entertaining reality-based shows such as the “The Real World,” “Jersey Shore,” and “True Life.” Their new reality show, “Hired” has moved onto one of the most pressing issues facing today’s youth—finding a job. The documentary intimacy of the show is informational, inspirational and entertaining.

The series follows desperate, recent, college graduates pursing their dream jobs in various industries. It shows how young people who have been raised on entitlement and consumer culture deal with the recession and the gloomy job-market, while the goal is teaching viewers the do’s and don’ts of the job market.

Viewers are able to follow the job hunting process through the eyes of both the employer and the prospective employees through meeting the employer looking to fill a position, getting to know the job hungry applications, seeing interviews, finding out who ultimately lands their dream job and what happens to them after.

And for those you who ever wondered what it might be like to work for a beauty company, don’t miss the episode on June 1st at 4:00pm as the series will follow the beauty brand theBalm. In the search for a new office assistant the final applications are asked to pitch a new product idea leaving the staff impressed as well as shocked.

So don’t forget to check out “Hired” to get the information we all wish we had upon graduation.

FORGET THE SPEED LIMIT LET'S GO MISS SIXTY!!!!

Forget the Speed Limit lets go Miss Sixty!

Welcome to the jungle babay, let's go WILD!!!!

I recently attended the Flaunt Magazine/Miss Sixty private Jungle Summer Collection launch party at the Miss Sixty store on Melrose which also happened to be a birthday celebration for Jenni Baird ("Alien Trespass").

Celebs along with my fashion peeps were in attendance for the event. Here's who I saw: (Celebs) Jenni Baird, Wilson Cruz, Jai Rodrigues, Phillip Carreon, Toni Trucks, Gia Carides, and Kathryn Eisman. Here's who else was in attendance: Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Gabriel Garko, and Brody Hutzler.

I really loved the super cute outfits the models were wearing the night of the party as well as the Spring/Summer Collection displayed throughout the store.  The fashion worn by the models was very Junglesque with vibrant greens, reds, yellows, exotic birds, leopard print, butterflies, and gorgeous flowers. Throughout the store were some great denim pieces that I also had my eye on!

The party held upstairs was Jungle themed with lots of palm trees, green table tops, muted lights, etc. It was also quite balmy but I think that was due to how many people attended the event! There were some abso delish cupcakes (chocolate and red velvet), and fantastic canapes from Brown Sugar and Magnolia, some yummy Champers (that's Champagne for you non-ab fab viewers) with a gorgeous champagne pyramid, along with a tequila bar, and regular full bar (with a pretty good Mojito ~ just had to throw that in there!) and may I add that it was open bar which made this girl pretty happy! Anyway, back to the party... the DJs were amazing ~ Kelly Cole and Smiles Davies, I even asked DJ Kelly Cole to play at my wedding (no not getting married just yet) just saying how much I loved the DJ!  So six ( I mean Miss Sixty!), 7, 8 don't be late to the party. Let's get ready for Summer! Check out the Jungle fashion and get down to Miss Sixty so you can GO WILD TOO!!!

Here are a couple of views from inside the party:

The After Party has held at Hyde but this girl had already attended a couple of events prior to the party and was too pooped to pop!  I went home and had sweet dreams of being in the Jungle with all the wild life (non-predatory) and vibrant colors that were in evidence at the Miss Sixty party!
