Gen Art LA Kicks off LA Fashion Week with an event Celebrating its Alumni Designers!

The GEN ART Fashion Alumni Celebration took place poolside at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday March  16.  The 80 degree weather was absolutely perfect for the event, it was a gorgeous balmy evening, hosted by former Ford model Amber Rose.

The kick-off event featured 17 alumni designers from the GEN ART Fresh Faces in Fashion program. Each designer featured one look from their Collection. Participating designers included: Eduardo Lucero ~ Society for Rational Dress ~ Elmer Ave ~ Geren Ford ~ Louis Verdad, ~ Orthodox ~ Remy Kashou, and many more.

Guests, models, and Designers mixed and mingled in the crowd sipping complimentary Kim Crawford wine while listening to the mad beats of dj POSSO.  The evening was celebrated in true style and accomplished what it set out to do; highlight the fashion contributions of LA's known designers as well as emphasize our emerging talent.

The event had an amazing turnout and it seems to me that LA may just be on the road to becoming a true contender in the world of Fashion.  New York take note we will soon be nipping at your heels!!!!!
