The Company based out of San Francisco is well known for its innovation, amazing cuts, tailored fit, gorgeous leather, and funky hot trim and accents. Monique likes to use nail heads, D-rings, brass eyelets, snaps, lacing and buckles to accentuate her designs and she does not shy away from using fur. Very YUMMY!
Her design philosophy is "give me something no one else has" and she has veered away from what she calls "normal" leather jackets. She loves lining her jackets in lace and using contrast stitching. She told me that she is now in the process of experimenting with what is referred to as "overdye" and setting distressed prints onto leather. She is also enamored with feathers at the moment and plans on using them to accent her upcoming Collection. Her next experiment will include overdye leather, lace, and fur all in one jacket and she plans on expanding her Collection to include Men's jackets. The first jacket for the men's Collection will be the male version of the Johnny jacket, so aptly named after the song "Frankie and Johnny".
I own the Eva a burnt orange suede jacket with contrasted stitching and corseted sides , the Safari an army green suede belted jacket with sleeves that snap from elbow to wrist, and the Frankie an incredible copper coated Italian leather off center zip, motorcycle jacket.
